We had a great time in the Scilly Isles and were really lucky with the weather. We went on a 35′ Jenneau called Louise. New photos in the surroundings section. The islands are a beautiful mix of Cornish and Mediterranean with a touch of something more exotic thrown in. By sailing there you really appreciate that they are actually out in the Atlantic, particularly when you feel its swell! We visited St Marys, St Martins, Tresco, Bryer and Gugh and returned back to Falmouth via a nightsail and some time at anchor in the Helford river.

This Friday sees us back out on the water although, sadly, still not on our own boat. We’ll be going to the Channel Islands this time (if the weather stays as promised) but not sure where we’ll make first landfall yet. It’ll be good to get another few hundred miles under our belts.
