Mini refit in Autumn 2011. The following list outlines the scope of the work carried out:
• The complete replacement of the standing rigging including the roller headsail system.
• Fabrication repairs to the foot of the mast in way of the tabernacle and repairs to the mast in way of the hounds.
• A full osmosis treatment to the hull below the waterline using the Hotvac drying system and International Paints Epoxy protection scheme.
• The underwater hull has been finished in Coppercoat.
• Structural repairs have been made to the rudder blade around the lower bearing before the epoxy and Coppercoat were applied.
• All through hull fitting below the waterline have been replaced including their associated ball valves. These are all marine grade non- ferrous fittings.
• The stern gear has been overhauled including the replacement of the Aquadrive and its correct installation.
• The aft deck and the deck under the mast foot has had additional strengthening.
• The engine and associated ancillaries have been overhauled including the replacement of the exhaust system, exhaust injection elbow and the heat exchanger.
• The seawater feed to the engine has also been improved, with a dedicated skin fitting, ball-valve and strainer.
• The fuel supply system has been upgraded and the tanks cleaned.
• The faulty Morse control cables have been replaced.
• The replacement and rearrangement of hoses in the engine space.
• The main components of the 12v electrical systems have been revised including the replacement of the batteries and rewiring of the battery charger and isolator switch.
• There has also been the addition of an inflatable tender, outboard, electronics and safety equipment, such as EPIRB, PLB and Ocean grade ISAF / ORC liferaft.
